I originally hail from a small lakeside village tucked away in the mountains of northwestern Montana. From a very young age I have been exposed to nature in a way that many travel thousands of miles to see and still many more only dream of. It was through my native surroundings that I began to heavily associate a sense of place, a sense of environment with my work.

I have come to realize my work is about narrative, centering strongly on a sense of setting, which has the potential to contribute to mood. These stories are developed by piecing together mental fragments that have been stimulated by my own sincere love and desire to be close to nature and have awakened
some very deep and fond memories
of my childhood.

My aim with my work is to awaken abysmal senses of wonder and place
that come from perception of one's awareness of their own natural environment.
